The Difference Between High Level Rack and Mezzanine Rack

Differences in structure and form

The rack supported mezzanine is composed of columns, secondary beams, main beams, floor panels, etc. With medium duty longspan shelf racks or heavy duty industrial racking as the main support, it can bear 500 kg per square meter and can be easily assembled on site without welding.

The main structure of the heavy duty racking system is composed of columns and beams. The overall structure of the heavy duty racking system is simple, easy to disassemble and assemble, and has superior bearing capacity. The bearing height of each layer can reach more than 5 tons.

The general specification of mezzanine floor pallet racking is two or three layers. The height of the first floor is 3m, the floor spacing is generally 2.2m~2.7m, and the height of the top shelf is generally about 2m. Therefore, the total height of the attic shelf is not less than 4m and not more than 8m. However, the number and height of heavy duty racking system are relatively arbitrary. As long as the warehouse space allows, the height can reach 15 meters, and the floor height can also be adjusted reasonably according to the needs.

The difference between shelf access methods

The mezzanine floor pallet racking is mainly used for storing and recycling some light and small goods, which can be accessed only manually. The goods on the second and third floors can be transported to a certain location by hydraulic lifts or freight elevators, and then transported to a certain location by light vehicles or hydraulic pallet trucks, which is a convenient and quick way to store and retrieve. The heavy duty racking system type is used to store heavy objects, which can be stored on pallets and then transported by forklift trucks, saving time and labor and making work more efficient.
