The goods of the drive-in rack are generally placed on the pallet, so the size parameters of the pallet play a decisive role in the length and depth of the rack, and the height of the pallet together with the goods plays a decisive role in the height of the rack. The pallet is mainly made of wood. There are three types of pallets, plastic pallets and steel pallets.

When designing a drive-in rack, it is necessary to understand the dimensions of the goods in three aspects, including the weight of the goods, the size of the goods, the length, width and height of the goods and the fork direction of the pallet.

  • Equipment requirements

The best access equipment for drive-in racks are: reach forklifts, counterweight forklifts and stackers.

The channel of the drive-in rack is mainly determined by the forklift. If it is a reach-type forklift, the rack channel can reach 3 meters, but if it is a counterweight, it should be at least 3.5 meters.

In order to reduce potential safety hazards, fire exits will be reserved when any warehouse is designed, while drive-in shelves are generally designed to be within 1m*2m, and goods cannot be stored.
